601 - Curriculum

 

It is the policy of Indian Hills Community College to offer quality, learner-centered courses, programs, and educational opportunities through delivery methods and schedules that meet the changing educational needs of all constituencies as set out in Iowa Code § 260C.1.

602 - Intellectual Property

 

Intellectual property includes class preparation materials, outlines, syllabi, web pages, audio files, video files, and all other work associated with developing and delivering courses.

When these materials are created by the Instructor through use of college-procured equipment, software, and related support services, or the instructor is paid for developing the materials, the instructor has ownership of the materials, and the College has the right to use, reproduce, adapt, and update said materials in its curricula.

The College and the instructors may enter into mutually beneficial agreements related to copyright and other items of instructional and intellectual importance regarding materials.
